MLK Celebrates Flag Day

On June 14, first and second graders at MLK celebrated Flag Day with a fun activity organized by Mrs. Giannandrea. Students learned about the history of the American flag, recreated their own edible American flag, sang "It's a Grand Old Flag" and had a parade throughout the school. Thank you to 'Miss G' with the help of Mrs. Doyle for putting on a Flag Day celebration for our students and for purchasing all of the snacks and flags for our students! What a memorable experience for our students!
